At the time we were both 27 yo prosecutors mired in 300+ "quality of life" cases such as public urination and squegee men. We ultra enjoyed every second of our 5 star sojourn, happily accepting free champagne and truffles endlessly showered upon us. When we returned to 98 degree NYC and had to staff Night Court complete with "he/she" prostitution stings, we were rather rudely awakened! Still, for the stories alone, we stayed on. Although my husband left within 2 years for private practice and I graduated to more subtantial cases, I still cherish the honeymoon and the hilarious honeymoon hangover as unique and fun times in our life together.
