Painted in Waterlogue

I'm smitten with Waterlogue, an app that turns photos into watercolors.

I'm also smitten with the idea that existence can become, or be translated into, art. Isn't that what we do when we write about ourselves and our lives? Moments are moments, yes, but they are also material we can mold into something after the fact, sometimes something quite beautiful.

A small newsstand on a city corner. A slew of books at a local store. Both are stunning if we look at them in a new way. So much color. So much texture. So much love.

Life as art. Art as life, right?
