If you know me at all, you know I love my coffee. In high school, Mom gave me a necklace, a silver pendant that said "Coffee Power." Somehow, I lost it. I wish more than anything I could find it. I remember thinking it was good luck. And maybe it was.

Anyway, I like my coffee. And drink lots of it. More than a few of you have asked if I'd do a Year Without Coffee after this Year Without Wine is up. And the answer is a firm no. I have zero plans of giving up my coffee. I'm realizing that I drink it for many reasons - to wake up and warm up, to settle into my writing, to cap a tasty meal.

And, yes, I am irrationally stoked about the seasonal arrival of those famous red cups at Starbucks. Holding one of these festive guys makes me marginally giddy every single time. And today? Today we woke up at 4am to catch our flight home from South Carolina. So, yes, this will be an especially robust coffee day. Bring it.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Are you a coffee person? A tea person? What is your go-to beverage and why do you love it? Are there any relics/objects from your childhood that you wish you could locate?
